De Proeftuin, Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands
This project was given to us as first year students as an introduction to Urban Design. The goal was to create a communal park on an empty location in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands. This park was to be used by locals, companies, and students from the nearby school. The full project contained a plan of action, program of requirements, target analysis, planting plan, maquette, sketch design, technical design and a presentation poster.

Planting Plan, Curio Frankenthalerstraat, Breda, The Netherlands
This project was part of our botany class. Over summer break, our school renovated a part of the schoolyard. A large space with grass was transformed into an outdoor sitting area for students with a few large planters. Our task was to make a planting plan for these planters. While coming up with a plan we also had to think of the soil, sun and shade, color, flowering time and height of the plants we wanted to use.

Redevelopment garden center Joure, Friesland, The Netherlands
This project was my first project in the real world. I was an intern at Buiten5 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Because of the short duration of my internship, I wasn't able to complete the full project. Nevertheless, my contributions were greatly appreciated. My task was to do an analysis of the area surrounding the location. I also had to come up with ways to reuse the materials after the demolition of the current garden center. I had to make up a summary of all trees and plants currently present on the lot, so they could be reused later on.

Redevelopment bungalow park Zeewolde, Flevoland, The Netherlands
This project was the main project I worked on during my time as intern with Rho adviseurs in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This place used to be a bungalow park, but now it's used as housing for short term work immigrants. All the caravans present on the grounds had to be removed to make space for 13 large apartment-like buildings. Our task was to design the outdoor space for this project. We chose to incorporate the forest into the plan and create large, open spaces for people to meet and spend their free time. This was the first project I worked on using Adobe software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. This made it possible for me to visualize everything a lot better than in my previous projects.

Internship Rho Adviseurs, Rotterdam, South-Holland, The Netherlands
This was my second internship period. This time with a large firm working on large projects. The main project I worked on is listed above; Zeewolde. But during my 3-month internship, I did a lot more projects. This is a small overview of the things I created during my time with Rho. These images show my growth and skill with Adobe software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
